hey,

I was goin to get the Z600 on pay as you go when it came out but then I heard about the T630 so now I dont know which one to get which im really annoyed about.

Would it be worth waiting for the T630 to come out on pay as you go or should i get the Z600???????:(

The features i would use alot are the games, the camera and the internet. Does anyone know what one is the best for these features?????????

Well I just got the Z600 and it's very good. Coming off a Nokia 3650, i wanted to get back to a smaller phone and flip style. I recommend the Z600 highly. If you like flip or the bar style. Your choice.

Definately the z600 for the following reasons:

*can change covers
*better RF reception
*full on screen protection
*full on keypress protection, so even if you forget to lock keypad, there's no chance of accidentally making outgoing calls without your knowledge
*keys more spaced out making it easier to text
*5 way navigational pad meaning no chance of breaking or accidentally snaping of the wee lil joystick
*built to a reasonable size so you can't subconsiously loose it
*better placing of camera so when you make calls, there's far less chance of you using the camera's lense indentation as a comfy area to rest your greasy fingers

Haha thats pretty funny. I've seen people put their fingers over auto focus assist lamps on point-and-shoot cameras and wonder why their pictures a turn out blurry. I guess it would be partly because of an ergonomic flaw of the equipment.

Ok thats my 2 cents :D

Personally I'm still contemplating over the SEz600 or the T630. Well I've listed down the major differences between this two great phones from Sony Ericsson;

T630's got better reception as per compared to the Z600, it's a one piece phone. Buttons are not too responsive or attractive, and it's all white, gets dirty easily.

Whereas the Z600 has got a better keypad which is very much more responsive and nicer to send of messages, plus the clamshell design ain't too tacky for me for I've got to flip it open in order to answer the phone (That is without the BT headset).

I think I'd got for the T630, personally I find it more useful, even though the Z600's more stylish :D

I'd probably get the Z600. If you look in my T630 review I've got a photo of the T630 and Z600 side-by-side and the T630's TFT screen is barely better than the Z600's. The Z600's screen is also slightly larger.

Also, the folder form factor in the Z600 protects your screen and allows you to have exchangeable covers on the outside. Pretty cool.

It would be a toss-up for me.

I find the T630 display to be a decent bit better than the Z600's, but I do like that it is protected in the Z600 folder. And the changeable covers are nice, too.

Just a bit thick.

Hard to say. it would probably come down to the pockets in my pants. If they were roomy, I'd get a Z600. Otherwise the T630.

I like the design on the T630 better and it does have a better screen and with the Z600 id probly spend more money getting the covers than on the fone itself............at least thats what i did with my old one. So ill probably get the T630 because i like the design better and it comes out sooner on PAYG than the Z600.

Thanx 4 everyone hu posted;)

Roger that wilco :D I'm saving up for the T630, don't know if I can get a black one. The white's a bit too white and it gets dirty real quick I presume

However, a friend of mine from Bangkok who's friend had a Z600 doesn't like it coz when he dropped the phone, it crashed into pieces... must have been one hell of a drop, ha ha!

He he!!

I like the Z600.... able to delete default pics to clear memory. Hmm... what about the T630?

You can do that in all SE phones can't you? I have a T300 which is older and I did on there... trying to speed up the phone.. aha still didn't work.

Anyway, yes you should be able to. (I think).

Z600 and T630 are basically the same aren't they? I really like the talktime battery life on the T630 however. And the Z600 is just too thick when closed.

Both are good from what I can see, but I'd go for the T630.

Memzee,

I have a T310 and I can't delete the default pictures and my friend has a T610 and it's also the same, unable to delete them =( So I'm assuming the worst... that the T630's preloaded pics can't be deleted.

How long does the T630's battery last? SE batteries here in the Philippine suck... if the standby time is 5 days as indicated in the SE web site, it only lasts for 2-3 days. Maybe it's because the batteries are made in Asia?! I don't understand that battery life is dependent on the mobile operator as stated in the SE web site.

Before reading this thread I was goin for a z600 but now I can't make up my mind between that and the t630....I never really liked the joystick on the t610 but the more I've used one the more used to it I have become. So now i'm at a loss :/ Upgrade in a week finally.

I already bought the T630 and I absolutely love it. My girlfriend has the Z600 and she also loves it. If you like flip phones, then go for the Z600 (when I first saw it on the web site, I didn't like it but when I saw it physically, I like the design and the keypad) but if you're going for the executive look then buy the T630. In my experience, most females prefer the Z600.

that re-affirms my feelings of masculinity alright. the main prob I have with the z600 would be it's size, open an closed, never had a flip phone either but I really fancied it before i saw the 630, still not actually tried either though.

i prefer t630 over the z600. that's why i have the t630 and mine is black. elegant and "masculine". but only if the z600 would have been thinner then i would have chosen it because i want flip phones so that I dont have to worry about the screen too often. (that's why i am waiting for the sexy 3G phone Z1010). but really i love the t630. if you liked the t610 you would absolutely like the t630. the keypad is excellent, better than t610...comfortable to press. solid feel and the look is really great.

Yeah, I agree with eaniban. The T630 has softer keypads than the T610. The Z600 is also awesome, keypad has a softer feel than the T630 but then, I'm not a fan of clamshell phones. With T630, I often have to clean the case coz it's white, dirt marks are very visible.

Z600 is a great phone, so is the T630. I don't believe they have any advantage over each other. Just weather you like the clamshell, or not.

I am able to delete most of the default ringtones, pictures and themes, not all, but most. Leaving only about one left each in the internal memory :D I had 1.5MB usable then!Phwoar!

Finally I got meself a T630 two days back :p Real happy! Cept that it's my first time using a color phone and the battery don't seem to last as long

And well the T630 and the Z600 are similar  Cept for the form factor. The Z600 has a very much better D-pad as per compared to the T630's joystick

Settled on the z600 since i'd have to wait for a t630 on my network, couldn't be happier, I was once blinded by nokia but now I can see :p

I'll choose the Z600 Just for the Keypad. I ditch the T630 just for the Joystick. but the keypad is great! But wouldn't it be nice if MTWT using Z600 then FSS using T630. And i agree with fellow 3ple4, the Z600 is more fragile than the T630. 100%, no testing needed. Both are good actually..... ****, i'm lost too; i was suppose to help; now i'm lost~~ they're so damn fine!

My friend has a Z600 and after using it for a month, the hinge of the phone is now loose.

If this is common on Z600's, id go for the T630.

I prefer the color saturation of the T630 dispaly compared to the Z600 though.

I also like the My Friends option on the T630 coz you can add contacts that you communicate to often. From My Friends you can text, call and send MMS to them with less key strokes.
