Got this phone about 2 weeks ago. Just filled it up with music and have to say the playback is great (however i cant find a repeat function!!!), as is the overall voice quality (volume, even not maxed, is still sometimes too loud to listen to comfortable...a plus as I like to drive with windows open, etc.)
I'm in love with the phone's looks, 180 degree side rotary design, and the "sshwing" sheathing sound it makes when the phone is opened. Also, picture quality is awesome, and the video shoots at a pretty quick 30 FPS. Right now im at the office or i would link you all to some pics and vids. I went to the dog park last weekend and went crazy snapping shots.
For anyone reading this post who also has a w900i in the usa (they're very uncommon in Miami, where I live) and would like to share some cool tips, client software, or to just shoot the breeze, holler at me.
Also, anyone considering buying this phone who has questions; shoot.
I think I'm going to sell this baby soon though and get myself a moto Q/ nokia 61 communicator, or some other business-oriented phone, as the w900 lacks any business functions and also get a slim phone to take out to town on the weekends to save some pocket space.
As a side note, I have a W900 review on my desk that I should be able to edit and post over the coming days.

this problem is also with the W800 and its really annoying that you cant get to repeat track or a playlist. i wish SE will take care of this.
I hear stuff about new firmware etc and i dont know how to get me some of those. maybe there are changes in there. who can help on this plzzzz

Dunno about your country but over here in the UK it is the LAW that if we're gonna be using a phone whilst driving then we have to use some form of handsfree. So driving with headphone in wilst driving is nothing new, even if it is to listen to music.

no, its the law here too, but there is a big difference in talking to someone with one earpiece and one free ear, and driving while listing to music in both ears really loudly. I think its illegal to listen to music with headphones while dirivng here. You cant hear anything, especially with the in ear headphones SE ships their Walkman phones with.

Yes it is illegal in most countries and states to have both ears covered, they say that you can't hear emergency vehicles, horns etc. What about deaf people? You can drive if you're deaf. Crazy laws

Good point. Easiest answer to listening to music on your mobile whilst driving is to radio transmitter. I have one for my ipod as I don't and aux input in my car and then just tune your radio in. Works on my Nokia N70 with the pop port adaptor.

I didn't mean using the phone with the headphones. I keep the 'phones in my car and hardly use them, honestly, unless I'm going to the gym or on a brief walk somewhere. They would distract me too much if i were to listen to them driving, not to mention driving with music headphones (not wireless headsets/earpieces) is illegal in the state of florida. I like using the player without the phones using the phone's speakers, or as an ipod like attatchment to my stereo.
As a side note, I'm going to sell this puppy (before i scratch or drop it...god forbid) and get a samsung t509 (if i can get it compatible with cingular, that is). It's a huge phone and the features, in my opinion, dont really do the phone and price justice (although it is one of the loudest phones ive used). Though i have no regrets purchasing it, just time for a change.
My next plan is to have twop phones each serving distinct functions: one being the SE p990i (or the moto q...or equivalent smartphone...something with a alpha keypad) and then a SLVR like device such as the t509.
