t230 and transferring games / ringtones via data cable?

hey guys

anyone know if I can transfer games / ringtones via data cable to a T230? I am thinking of getting one soon, but am worried as it doesn't have infrared.

would u recommend a T300 or a T230? tossing it up...

i think you can only transfer ringtones / pics to T230 via data cable using the MMS Home Studio software from SE. for mophun games download them via wap.

i had a T230 before and bought an SE DCU11 usb datacable but i couldn't make the darn thing work, so i had it swapped with a T68i instead.

the only good thing going for T230 is the 4096 color screen (not much different from the 256 color screen of T300, T310, or T68i IMHO) and the 32-channel polyphonic tone which is good but not as good as T610's.

well, I can't afford a T610 at the moment...

so would you recommend a T300 over a T230?

if i were to choose between the two then yes, i'd prefer the T300 over the T230 because it has infrared. why not go for T310 instead? a newer version of the T300.

There is a way of connecting the T230 to PC... follow these steps

1. Download SE My Pictures and Christersson "Send File".

2. Connect T230 to PC with cable (I tried with DRS-11 serial cable)

3. Start SE My Pictures and wait until the programme recognises your T230

4. Now minimize SE My Pictures and start Christersson "Send File".

5. Now you can pictures/ringtones/themes/other files to your T230.
