6600 memory

I am really tempted buy the 6600 but need to ask a question. What is the biggest MMC memory card that can be used? Will it swallow a 128mb card?

yea it will. ppl have even done with 256mb with no probs but the approved nokia size is up to 128 only.

i can vouch for the 256mb MMC, i've got one on it now.

Works without a hitch, i popped it in, and the phone recognised it straight away.

I would wait for the 6620, it's alot better and looks nicer, search forums or check out the review and you will see.

actually, the 6620 is not that much better... only a few extra features and it looks damn ugly actually

Some people claim that they manged to use a 512MB card. athough that is not supported by Nokia.

exactly. nokia do not support anything over 128.

I was talking to someone today that has the 6600 and they are using a 512mb mmc card and carphonewarehouse told me that they should be able to handle more. got my 6600 coming on tuesday. I have seen the 6620 reviewed on this site and from what I have read there isn't much difference apart from EDGE.

more ROM 6MB -> 12MB (which is really stupid because ROM is only for storage and since we have MMC it doesnt matter)

RAM is the same

CPU is meant to be faster (but it is only a Rumour)

Stereo Output (which makes no difference unless you use your phone as an MP3 player....).

Whatsmore, the 6620 is made for the US only, which is a very small part of this world, so it doesnt really matter. I believe us 6600 brothers can live ....
