Hey there..I am from Australia and would love some info on whether I can use my Nokia 6225 in China. Some think I can and others say I need a chip placed in the phone....Can any one help me? Im leaving on Sunday and am running out of time!!!!

Why don't you check with your carrier? Being that it's CDMA, you can't simply switch SIM card to another global-roaming phone like you would on a GSM handset, and so the best way is to double check with your carrier.

I just double checked and there are CDMA networks in China, most in the same frequency as the Australian ones, so technically, you should be good to go. But even then, you would need to double check with your carrier, which I'm guessing is either Telstra or Hutchison, if you can actually roam abroad:)
