Hi,

Hi, I purchased a P900 in December (I am on firmware R2B02). Since then I have been having problems trying to use the phone with a bluetooth headset.

I have tried my P900 with a Sony Ericsson HBH-30 and a Jabra BT250 but am getting mixed results:

Most of the time (80%) I can initiate a voicedial from the headset OK, but sometimes I cannot.
If I dial a number from the phone (by entering the number manually, or selecting a contact), the sound is transferred to the headset about 60% of the time.
When there is an incoming call the sound is transferred to the headset 20% of the time.

Who else is having problems using a bluetooth headset, as reading posts on various boards, this seems to be a very common problem?

I have set up a poll at my-symbian.com (http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13108) to try and establish just how widespead this rather annoying problem is. If you don't have an account on my-symbian, please post your P900/BT headset experiences here.

Is Bluetooth set on "On" or "Automatic"?
I had the same problem with my P800 and the HBH-30 and HBH-60, when the BT was on Automatic. When set "On" the problem solved. Just for comparison, with my old T68 never had this problem even with BT on Automatic.
Hope this helps.

Bluetooth is set to On (in fact it has to be "Discoverable" on the P900 as well according to the manual).

So far I have tried everything possible - I have re-paried the headset on an almost daily basis, done a master reset of the P900, updgraded the firmware (twice, just to be sure it worked properly), tried another headset, tried both my headsets with other phones (they work), changed the bluetooth settings on the P900 (I have tried discoverable on/off, preferred device phone/headset, allow device to connect without confirmation on/off, etc.)
