My father is going back to Spain (first visit to Seattle)
He's 73, smart and easy going, but still first time visit outside of his country.
I got him a Nokia 6010 for him to be around Seattle.

Does anyone know if he can use that phone in Europe?
He'll be stopping in Amsterdam before he gets to Madrid.
Could he be reached to a cell nokia 6010 from the US when he's in Amsterdam?!

thank you so much for any reply.

The 6010 would appear to be a US-phone (GSM 850/1900 only) in which case no it won't work in Europe, it does not support European GSM frequencies (900 and 1800Mhz).

You should get him a triband (900/1800/1900MHz) or better still quadband. There are many inexpensive ones on eBay now...if you'd like we can recommend some, provided you give us some criteria to work with;)
