Nokia 8910 display problem when playing snake ii

When I'm in the middle of a game of snake ii, I'm often confronted with the following problem: my display starts to flicker, i.e. the leds go out and then on again very quickly. But mostly I can continue the game. However, it has also happened that the game simply ended and the operator logo screen appeared. Does anyone have suggestions of what causes this? I have firmware v 4.02 (the latest) and the phone was manufactured in March 2003.

Are you sure it has something to do with the game and not with you pressing the buttons like mad?

Sounds like some sort of loose connection in the phone that is aggrivated by button mashing.

Are you sure it flickers, or does it just go off and back on again after a while?

If it does the latter, then that is normal.

Well, all I know is that it happens when I play this game that indeed requires one to press the 1 and 9 buttons a lot. Your question resembles the philosophical "Which was first, the chicken or the egg?" :confused: I can't think of a way to find out (other than playing the other games and waiting for it to happen again, or not).

Yes I am. The leds go out and on again in a very short time span, of a second or two at the most. In the games menu I chose lighting on (shortcut 5-3-2 for those who own a 8910 handset).
