Hi, I like to be able to get into using torrents when downloading from the net, but I dont know how to use them. Like what's the first step? Can someone please explain how they work? Thanks.

Step one is getting a Torrent downloading program - I recommend the excellent uTorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/). Then it is just a matter of finding files you want to download that use Torrents, then download the 'tracker' file (has a .torrent extension), and open it in your torrent program of choice.

Any of you get problems using torrents ? I prefer to use sharing programmes and turn off the upload as it seems to get vendors pi$$y chewing up the bandwidth...
