Nokia UK has started selling SIM free handsets directly from their website, the range is limited but worth checking out is the "UK Exclusive" 8800 Black Edition for an unreasonable 799 quid..

Good to see that the prices are reasonable and not insanely pricey!

Nokia USA's actually been doing this a while, although they are a bit pricey...$399.99 for a 6682:eek:

Wait, I thought the Black 8800 had been selling for a while now in Russia or something:confused:

So the only thing's they are selling are the newer Nokia phones?

Because I can't find the 6680...(looking to buy one - not for me)

I can't find batteries from there either.

I might get a BH-200 from there.

Its very limited in its range as I mentioned in my post...Amazon UK is selling SIM FREE 6680 for 250 quid and OneDayMobile UK has them for 230 or something.

But no batteries? Thought that would have been something basic people would buy from a nokia shop. At least that's what I think every nokia shop should stock.

Its a very good move. no more searchng endlessly over the web and on the highstreet for official accesories. Plus any newly released handsets should be directly available on there, albeit unsubsidised but ready and waiting.

New stock of other items will show up soon enough...batteries included! :D

Strangely no Nokia 770. That's a different part of Nokia you have to buy it from. And yes, batteries are an obvious ommission!

How strange not to include batteries! Although, do people in general really buy batteries? I figure they just settle for the one that comes with their mobiles...

Well mostly every other online (phone) shop does so someone must be buying them.

I thought this quite strange as well. I mean the 770 is not that readily available in UK. It could be due to WiFi not being that prominent as it is in the US.

It is a good thing, it needs time to develop!
