Hi,

I just have few questions, I would really appreciate your help...

1. I just checked differences between EF81 and S88 and found out that EF81 is better in all aspects except one thing... S88 has auto focus.. EF81 doesn't have.. is there any other main difference?

2. S88 has OLED display,, EF81 has TFT... which one is better?

3. Do they have the same interface?

Now these are questions regarding S88:

4. does it have a dictaphone?... can I record phone conversations with it?... is there something like a "beep" during recording (like the one in nokia)?

5. If you play an "amr" file or "mp3" file from the gallery during a call... is it heard by the other side (the one you are calling)?

6. Does it play "MP4" and "Real" files?

7. When a bluetooth beam comes to you, does it asks for comfirmation ?.. Does it show the name of the sender anyway?

Thanks a lot :) :) :) :)

The EF81 is a Siemens creation while the S88 was developed by BenQ, so they are very different underneath the surface.

1. Yes the EF81 is superior to the S88 is every way except for the camera.

2. No. The EF81 uses a souped-up version of the traditional Siemens UI. It is much more intuitive than the S88's, more aesthetically pleasing and also offers full multi-tasking, like smartphones. The S88 uses a traditional BenQ interface which is quite different to use.

3. The S88's OLED display is quite remarkable; you have to see it to believe it. Even though it is only 176*220, it is incredibly bright and extremely colour-saturated. However, I would still prefer the EF81's display as it is higher-res (QVGA) and physically larger. Thus images are still rendered sharper on the EF81's screen.

4. The S88 has a sound recorder, but I'm not sure if it can record phone conversations.

5. No, as far as I know currently no phones offer such a feature.

6. The S88 can play MP4, but not Real files. The EF81 can play both.

7. Yes. All phones will ask for confirmation unless you have paired the two devices and set them to 'automatic'.

Thanks a lot, Ghibli... That was helpful :)

mmm one thing... about this question...

" If you play an "amr" file or "mp3" file from the gallery during a call... is it heard by the other side (the one you are calling)? "

Nokia phones does offer this feature... they have it since 6600... I also had it in my siemens S55... however, S65 didn't offer it.. It didn't even offer a dictaphone..

anyways,, thanks :)
