The W950i features a generous touchscreen with dedicated music controls. Transferring music from your PC to this device is easily accomplished as well with support for both Bluetooth and USB - and with 4 gigabytes of flash memory, you'll be able to store hours of audio. The screen displays over a quarter-million colors in a 240 x 320 pixel area.

As if that weren't enough, this smart phone has 3 gigabyte transfer capability, so surfing the Web while on the go will be no problem. It comes with the Opera 8.0 browser pre-installed along with the Macromedia Flash Lite plug-in to insure full access to all your favorite websites. You will also be able to access your e-mail, send instant messages, and play games. This phone also includes the usual organizers and contact lists, among other features.

Sony-Ericsson has not yet given a definite release date for the W950i, but the company website states that it should be available soon in most locations around the world.

I think the killer part is going to be the price :-P

Sony needs a proper INSANE phone for a new flagship. Does anyone agree? I am getting a bit tired of the reitterations of the P9* series. Sony has more talent than that. Not that they havent shown that in THIS device - which is very slick... but, they need a new SwanSong.

Maybe they'll announce a P1000, but give it some uber cool name, or just a letter, like X, and then release mind blowing specs......

That'd be cool. Although to be honest, as long as it's got the specs (will have the price too!) AND a good design AND it's not huge, it would be great flagship. But on a minor note, I really don't like the sound of P1000, maybe P1x or something..

I don't think they can make the W950 the flagship, for that it would really need the camera as people kind of expect a flagship phone to offer top multimedia capabilities in every aspect. It would be worth a look for sure, but at the moment, if it had to come down to two devices for me, I'd sooner keep the phone/camera together (when I'm not carrying a separate camera) and then a separate MP3 player - as opposed to this device which is phone/MP3 and with a separate camera. I think the versatility of a phone and camera combo (sending videos and photos as well as editing) is greater than a phone with music on it.
