Sony has announced the RC300 desktop Vaio with Blu-Ray built-in. The burner can create BD disks and render full 1080 (i?? p??) content from an HD source. It can hold up to 2TB of data and rocks PCI Express x16 video and RAID 0 serial ATA hard drives.

No pricing or anything else remotely useful, but aren't we just in a tizzy?

2TB of data blows my mind...

Seems a little superfluous imo...although I shouldn't say anything since Bill Gates thought 640k or something was enough for RAM

Well considering its about 10GB per hour of HD

1TB = 1000GB = 100hours therefore 2TB = 200 hours.

Considering that Blu-ray has the potential to get 200GB onto it, 2TB translates to 10 Blu-ray disks.

(Currently single layer is about 35-50GB)
