SE Z600 camera problems

Hello All

I have just bought a SE Z600 online - received it yesterday.

When I try to take a photo and press the “take picture” button, the phone screen freezes with the picture taken and shows a “please wait” message. It stays like this forever - the all phone freezes and the unique way to get it back “normal” is by disconnecting the battery for 2 minutes and then plug it in again.
This happens always - I have never managed to take a photo with the phone.

My questions:

1 - as someone experienced this?

2 - if so, is there a way to resolve the problem?

3 - or, should I just send it back, as it’s broken?

For the rest it looks a great phone, I have had no time yet to test the Bluetooth, wap and other advanced capacities, but for normal function behaves great. Just this photo situation - I will not use this much, but a 381 euro phone should have everything working perfect!!!.

Any help is very welcome.

Hello, well that should not happen (obviously). Please take it to your nearest Sony Ericsson Care centre to have it fixed, good luck.

I think it would be a better idea to just send it back and ask for a new one. It's probably a firmware problem.

That’s what I’m going to do, send it back and ask for a new one. I’m just pissed as it will be 2 or 3 weeks (if all goes well) until I get a new one, and I really need my new phone.
