Who thinks the new Z600 looks kind of ugly?

Features seem pretty good, but the exterior of the phone seems a little off-balance.

Then again, maybe it's one of those designs that grows on you over time or just looks bad in photographs...

I'm keeping an open mind yet... :)

Well, wouldn't call it ugly... just different ;)

We'll see how good/bad it looks irl (or on some irl pics)...

I like the looks of both of the new Z series phones. The Z200 is probably better looking, but the feature set of the Z600 is more to my taste.

when first word that the z600 is found for sale...please notify me...

Well, I guess what bothers me most about the z600's looks is that the external LCD seems a little too small compared to the rest of the phone.

Regardless, that's not really important - I still really would like to try one of them out!

I just saw on CNET asia that all of the phones advertised in the Paris show should be available by October in the Asia/Pacific region.

So I guess if you are into ordering phones from sites like "just-talk" and the like, then you could get them sometime in October...

So, maybe they will hit mainstream distribution in Europe and North America by November?

Just speculationg...if there are any factory delays or whatnot (which tends to happen), then everything could get pushed back...

i want the Z200 for now. teh z600 seems a tad thick and there are other camera phones out there half its weight.

I also want the z200 really badly. I think its a better looking phone than the z600. The z600 is too expensive and has too many features that I would never use.

Personally I'm hanging out for a review of SE's upcoming Z1010 before I choose between the Z1010 and P900 - anyone out there in phone-land have any hot news on this one? :D

And weird that the big players are getting gazumped by the smaller phone makers (Casio, Samsung, etc) in the phonecamera-megapixel race; I expected better from Nokia and SE instead of simply continuing to release silly 'same-old' .3Mp lenses in their phones... ;)

isn't the Z1010 a 3G phone?

Apparently it's designed to be both, DaninChina, a "dual-mode" phone. The specs reckon it'll work on both UMTS and GSM-GPRS networks.

Yes it is.

It's called a monopoly... in Nokia's case anyway. They're already the no. 1 seller and they have the best reputation when it comes to phones, so they don't need to bring out the latest technology to be successful. As for SE... well, don't know about them really. Maybe they know something we don't? =P

Hmm... I donīt know the exact numbers but Samsung has about 11-12 % of the market and SE about 5 %. I think Samsung is a quite big phone maker.

I can admit it's funny and completely unnecessary.
I just felt forced to do it, don't know why actually.
