Since the camera is not a real VGA, the pictures look pretty bad. And 610 design is much nicer, I think.

yeah, the picture quality is terrible! is that the same with most SE phones?

A mistake in that review...The T630 has a TFT screen, not a TFD screen as the Z600 has. The TFT screen is better than the TFD.

That's debateble. TFT is only very slightly brighter but uses more energy than the TFD. I've seen the T630 screen and actually found it to be less bright than my Z600's.

I'm sure that the TFD is quite bright, maybe brighter than the T630. But the main advantage of TFT is superior display performance, with an excellent contrast ratio and quick response.
You are right about the power consumption. I assume that's why it goes into the sleep mode where it only shows the time. It's quite annoying sometimes.
Anyway, both screens are quite an improvement over T610/T616

So is it true that you can have the T610's firmware upgraded to T630's? That would be awesome. The only hardware difference would be the screen I guess. What about EDGE? Does EDGE technology require hardware or is it just software?

The pic of this phone are significantly worse than the pics my trusty old SE T300 can take. My T300 can take pitures that (in good lighting conditions) are comparable to a 1.3mp digi camera (using the mca-25 camera enhancement).

Why would any phone be released with such a bad camera? especially when this phone is just a patch up for the big mistake SE made on the T610's screen. Youd think they wouldnt want to make any more mistakes on this product line.
