You have created a CSD account for Cingular wireless on your T616.Then make sure you are subscribed to either Wireless Internet or Wireless Internet Express (http://www.cingular.com/beyond_voice/wi_pricing). CSD isn't turned on by default so after you have wireless internet, you'll prolly have to give customer support a call. Ask for CSD to be turned on. In my experience, I had to call a few times before I found someone who knew what I was talking about.
But once switched on, it took only a few minutes after my last call to customer support before I could surf the web at a whopping 9600 bps. :p It ain't DSL, and it's prolly slower than any dial-up you've ever used. But it's nifty.
The nice thing about bluetooth is that I can connect my laptop to the internet through my dial-up ISP with the phone. :D
If anyone has an SE T616 driver for a Palm m505, I'd much appreciate it. Even a laptop is too cumbersome to carry around sometimes. My contract with T-Mobile Hotspot just expired and it would be nice to be able to cancel it. Before I had considered buying an SD Wi-Fi card for the Palm (as soon as Palm OS drivers for it came out), but eh, if I can connect this thing via the cell phone and infrared (it almost works, I just need a modem driver), I'd rather use the cell phone and save money that way.
Edited to add that I found a modem driver for my Palm m505: http://www.palmone.com/us/support/downloads/phonelink.html
You don't need to install all the drivers, just the one for the SE T610. Everything -- browser, e-mail, IM, sms -- works just fine and dandy now. :D
