Hiya Guys,

my Ericsson HBH-10 Bluetooth Headset has finally expired and I need a new one to use whilst driving with my Z600 and my T630.

I like to look of the HBH-65 and the HBH-200 though I'm worried that the HBH-65 microphone is too remote to hear my voice whilst driving... any suggestions/comments?

Also is the HCB-30 any good?

Cheers, Glabrous.

PS any chance of a review of the HBH-200 Michael?

HBH-30 has been replaced by HBH-35. Weighs the same but has longer battery life.

Dear Esquire,

thanks very much for the feedback but I had already ruled out the HBH-35 on the basis of Michaels (excellent) review. I'm interested in the HCB-30 Bluetooth Handsfree car kit.

I've been trawling through various forums including this and the general consensus is that both the HBH-65 and the HBH-200 are very good it just depends whether you hate wires or not.

The reason I'm after a Bluetooth Handsfree is so that I can use two phones (one for work and one for private business) without having to switch earpieces each time I take a call. This worked fine with my old HBH-10 and I really wouldn't mind the minor inconvenience of a (short) wire such as the HBH-200... if the product is any good? I really need the "Michael's Mum Test" and an honest, impartial review to confirm it's suitability :-)

Cheers, Glabrous.

Dear Glabrous,

I personally am not a fan of all things wired, that's the main reason I am using a bluetooth earpiece.

If you do not mind wires, for 3 reasons, the HBH-200 will be a slight better choice than the HBH-65 IMHO.

1) It has longer battery life than HBH-65;

2) It has caller-id function and its own ringtone;

3) The user will not look like an alien :)

I have not used the HBH-200, therefore cannot comment on the voice quality or whether it supports multi pairing (the function which you required; the HBH-65 does support).

If it does, then you may really have to get the HBH-200.

:)

Dear Potatohead,

thanks very much for the feedback... I really need to check that the HBH-200 can really operate with two 'phones at once.

Cheers, Chris.

Hi Glabrous

My husband is just fitting the HCB 30 to my car as I speak ! He is unable to connect the mute wire to my factory built stereo as there seems no place to connect it, but this is not a major problem. When he has finished I will let you know how good or bad it is.

We have a user submitted review of the HCB-30 at: http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=321

I wasn't going to post a review just say if I like it or not. But if that is against forum rules I won't post my opinion. Sorry

Haha...what? There's nothing wrong with you posting your views! Really, we aren't that strict. I just wanted to let you know that we already have a review on that. If you want to add your experience to the forums then that's great.
That is, after all, the reason we made these forums. :)

I hope you don't think I took offence or anything Sid - I hadn't seen the review:)

I've had some great help and advice from this forum.

And ps I've found the HCB 30 a god send - the voice dialling works nearly every time. Trouble is my phone bill has gone up as before I had it I never would speak on my phone whilst driving now if I'm on a long journey it's great to break the boredom
:p

Hey ppl out there! I'm new here, just saying hi.

Yea...the HBH-65 is pretty good, my friend is using it right now. I have tried it too. But it does make u look like an agent from some secret service haha! I'd love to see a review on HBH-200. Its good looking compared to another brands' similar looking bluetooth handsfree and its SONY * cheers * ! Sadly, the HBH-200 does NOT work with P910 full functionally (according to SonyEricsson.com says, the Call list will not function if use with P910 >.<)

SE has always been known as one of the "top" companies in regards to bluetooth..

what i would like to know is how does nokia fones fare? ive heard that there are some problems in regards to bluetooth nokia fones...
do nokia fones work also with SE BT headsets?

nokia BT voice dialling capabilities, at least with the 6230 is the best that i have used so far, and i have used both SE and nokia... there were some problems, with the early nokia BT phones like the 6310 and 6310i, but with the new FW these has also been resolved and nokia phones work well with SE BT headsets except those old SE BT headsets that does not support handsfree profile like HBH-30/20/60, (not sure bout that 60, just off from the top of my head), with these headsets, you can not use them with some Nokia Series 60 phones like 3650, 2660, 6600 coz these phones only supports handsfree profile...
