Nokia 9210i and IR

I have a Nokia 9210i Communicator I connect it to my laptop using a USB IR dongle. I can transfer files from my phone to the laptop but not from my Laptop to the Phone. I have tried everything but in vain. Please help.

i have used a9210i and have transferred files from pc if i remember

but why in the world are you using a IR when nokia has supplied a data cable with the phone

I am using IR because my notebook does not have a serial port to connect the nokia cable.

I use a 9210i with a Belkin USB IR adapter on Windows 98 without any problems.. make sure you're using the latest version of the software (I think you can get it from the Nokia website).

Odd thing is that exactly the same setup fails to work with my Sharp GX20. Oh well.

It seemed to have a problem at first but after i reinstalled windows it was working perfectly
