Hi thinkin(similar to anther post on here, from Nokia to Sony) of getting a t610....One of the most used facilities I used on the nokia is the calendar...where i can input birthdays, reminders etc etc....my memory is bad...i need extra help...nobody in my family would get a birthday pressie if it wasnt for this.. ha ha...so as well as having a good camera(anybody wish to make a bit of a review) i need good texting facilities(have read that it is fine on this machine) and of course my second brain a calendar..
Thanks in advance

Michael,
I had owned a T610 for a short while, and found the majority of all it's functionality really good - the calendar included.
Just bear in mind - if you need a birthday reminder, and rely on the T610, and the sun is shining (as it always does here on South Tyneside) - you won't be able to read it.
The screen is that bad.
I couldn't find a ringtone that was loud enough for me either, and I do not have any hearing impedement.
Good luck......

The T610 has an excellent calendar and orgainiser facility...much better than Nokias! There is also the option of posting a 'note' on your screen to remind you everytime you look at it! Its an excellent phone too witha much better screen than any normal nokia.
As regards the ringtones, these are very loud I find and the message alerts too.
All in all its a cracking phone.

Great calendar, although it doesn't have repeating events;
Texting is great! If someone sends you a smiley, frown or wink, you will be able to see the yellow face.
The only downside of this phone is the cam is the pits & you can't see the screen on a sunny day! :(
That's why I would suggest you get the T630, which should be out soon. The new screen is pretty good.

The T630 would appear to have improved the failings of the T610 - if the respected musings of the mobilenurn.com team are to be beleived.
Does anyone at mobileburn.com (or other) have any idea of the release dare for the T630 int he UK ?
I can't decide whether to wait for this, or take the plunge for the SPV E-200.
I know in the future, I will relish the increased ability of the SPV, but at the moment cannot decide whether the small form factor of a phone is a more important issue...........any thoughts ?

Michael,
Check out the Nokia 6600 !
I've just been messing around with in a local store.
The screen is second to none !
Has all the functions you would expect from Nokia - calendar I'm sure is excellent.
It just feels a bit to "robust" for me - bulky even, and the SD card slot is under the battery.
It may well fill all your requirements.

The reason i am deciding between the phones i have mentioned, is that I am on contract with 02 and the phones are a "free upgraded"...so I havnt got a lot to chose from...over the last few days i have been thinking of saying 'Bugger it' and going for the t610...if i dont like it, i can swap..or go back to my 3510i...quite looking forward to the gui, for a change
Cheers
Good win on saturday...Dyers goal...fantastic...!!!
Michael
Just had a look on 02 website...if i did go for the 6600 (looks a brill fone) it would cost me £200....me thinks i will go with a free one....sony for me...
BTW MR toon man..is there anything in our neck of the woods where they do swaps of mobile fones...what has happened to all the second hand shops up Westgate rd...!!??
