D-Link DBT-120 (http://www.dlink.com.au/products/usb/dbt120/) Blutooth Dongle.
From other forums, channels n the like, I have been asked many times which dongle I use.
Well, I can safely say after trying to out for a while with a Nokia 6310 & an SE T610, the D-Link is a worthy dongle if your looking to buy one.
I know there are other great ones out there, although as I use this myself I can give a 1st hand opinion & its thumbs up from me.

I've used a number of cards and dongles and have settled on the Belkin dongle. It has just worked best for me.

The lack of headset support is a bit of a pain, though.

I think that most dongles that use the Widcomm software work well. Generally they are all the same inside (CSR chipset), but it's the software that makes the difference. Personally I use the Bluetake BT007 and it works fine for me.

Right, the Belkin I have is Widcomm. Doesn't support the newest software, though, and hence doesn't support the headset profile.

I too use a Belkin F8T001 dongle. I have been able to get newer drivers that do support the headset profile installed and working. There is one problem, however, and that is I can get no audio into the headset from my PC. I have been advised by Belkin that this dongle cannot support audio headsets due to a lack of hardware. I don't know if this is true or not, but I and others have not been able to get this to work yet.

The Belkin works fine for other stuff like synching my phone or PDA.

Cheers

I have tested a few Dongles using the Widcomm software.
Level one, Bt3000 , and MSI PC 2 PC.

All to start with did not support the headset profile.

What i did find is,if the firmware is 485/487 or higher the new BT software available from MSI works perfectly but do not use the new software if your firmaware is lower than 487, the dongle will stop functioning properly. 385 seems to be the older version.

To check the firmware version , using the Widcomm software, right click on my entire BT neighbourhood and click on SETUP , or Configuration.

Then go to the hardware tab and check the 3 line (+-) it will say firmware 385,485,487,535 or higher.

I am trying to find out if i can get the firmware upgrade file , as the new MSI/Widcomm software has a firmware upgrade utility.

Will keep you posted.

Yes, D-Link use their own branded versions of Widcomm software.
