MMS help on O2-UK (phone settings)

Hi,

I have an Ericsson T610 (latest software/firmware) on O2-UK Pay Monthly tariff.

I am unable to send Picture messages (MMS) - 'keep getting "User Barred" or "Communications Error". I have downloaded the O2 MMS settings and also received them from customer services but this hasn't helped.

Q: What settings/configuration do I need to check on my T610 in order to send messages?

go to http://www.sonyericsson.com/uk/ and click on "phone configurators" near the top. Go through the prompts for setting up GPRS and MMS (you have to do them seperately) and it should work.

sounds to me like MMS and/or GPRS is not provisioned on the account... or at least thats the message an Orange UK phone would give if this was the case.

Have you called up O2 and told them you want to use MMS? You have to do that, then in an hour of two from the call, it should work

Works OK now! O2 got it wrong, they thought that they had activated MMS but then checked again and activated it.
