All up I think it was about US$1800, including a new wheel and a wheel bearing. The car that wheel is off is about to get some new suspension in it now, its my baby.

Class damage and expensive rims by the looks of it...
Managed to shred 4 tyres off a Nissan Cherry (years ago) was exciting albeit costly for tow trucka and rim+tyre replacement...but boy was it worth it !

Yeah, most of that was the rim, fixed it all myself so I saved on labor at least.
What did you do to the cherry to get it to shred four tyres? Its not exactly the most powerful car.

I think he used to accelerate and brake with a screech all the time :D in any case I remember quite some time back some bike photos were posted any biker people here. I was into stunting on a pro level because was getting little annoyed by falling of and breaking something or the other all the time. :D

Did you grind them yourself ? labour is always the main cost...and enjoy fdpi
It was a very large and very damp empty car park, cherry was stock but had a uprated gearbox - after a few J turns I wanted to try a full slide - hit 60mph or so and yanked the handbrake - must have slid for around 200m+ and hit some hard gravel that must have given some traction - phup phup phup phup griiiiiind - came to a stop and admired my work...then had to suck in the cost of tires - didnt get a pic as pre cam-phone days....was the most fun I've had in a car...
Driven Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Santa pod and a quite a few other track days with friends but nothing beats a bit of raw lunacy..
Grind them? Wheel bearings, not rotors.
