Is it Vodafone? I think you'll find they disable it in their firmwares but yes the phone should support MP3s as ringtones. Should definitely get that checked out, unfortunately I haven't used a N90 so can't help you more.

If u re a vodaphone user u re axed, if the phone is not, then try this option. Mind u i am not a user of the N90 so my advice may not work according to plan, u can place the mp3's in the sounds folder;(u ll see two folders, Digital and Simple) place it in the digital folder. If after that it does not work consult ur nearest Nokia service centre.

If you cant get the mp3's to work, you could try converting them to AAC.

Is there no option to set the music file as the ringtone in the gallery? I was surprised when my 6620 didn't show my MP3s in the Profile settings, but it showed the option in Gallery...if you haven't arleady, you might wanna take a look at that...

The MP3 has to be within the 'Sound Clips' folder on either the phone memory or memory card for it to display in the profile screen.

Best place I can find is http://www.w2w.com , free shipping and a 512mb DV-RS-MMC for £17.99 (and it's Kingston)! I just ordered my 512mb card from there. From what I can gather they are cheaper than eBay anyway.

usamemory.net is a good place, especially since they're having a sale...
