I am in the market for a new plan and a new phone. I was excited after reading the Z600 review, but was disappointed to not find it sold by any of the US GSM carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Cingular). Anyone know what the deal is and when the US carriers are going to market this phone (with rebates and such for signing up for service)?

That's a good question...I too have been looking into to this phone for a little while. No one seems to have picked it up yet. I have seen it for sale in NYC though. It was a vodafone branded model and the store selling it wanted about $525 for it out of contract and about $350 with a contract...kinda steep if you ask me.
many online but here in Wash DC there's one store that carries a vodaphone branded se z600...saw it yesterday and almost bought it for $500....but checked others online with vodaphone branded use in usa with t-mobile (as am I) and they recommended I stay away from any branded se z600's. ordered one online from a place that promised the phone was unlocked and unbranded but it won't arrive until Monday or Tuesday......will post then and if all is as it should be will post here.....btw, cost was $449.99 + 13.95 2 day fedex......if I used ground it would have been 4.95 shipping fedex.....

What online site did you use? GSM phonesource has it for 409.99 on their website... Cheapest I've seen it so far, online at least.
couldn't wait so ordered priority shipping....phone is unbranded and unlocked as promised......it came with silver and smoke covers .....I got it from mobilcityonline......it's exactly as promised with manuals in english and what is, I presume chinese .....it comes with the original (non-USA) and adapter for the usa electrical outlets......i'm satisfied and the phone is up and running......it wasn't the least expensive site but at least it's what I expected......

Very cool...hope you put up some user opinions soon. Give us a feel for the phone. What you like about it, dislike about it. Is the quality of the camera decent or is it rubbish? How useful is the camera without any 'flash'like' aid?
I really wanna consider this phone, but I'm not so sure due to the problems I'm having with my E715.
had the phone since around 10 AM....it is awesome...so far only negative is the fact that the ear leaves body oil on the screen..will look for a cover for that; additionally, I will be looking for a better charger. The one that comes with myphone is the european/asian with an adapter--very bulky..... Setup for WAP and t-zones from t-mobile is several clicks on se's website and all works easily....danger now is that i'll spend even more time avoiding work! ringer sounds are impressive and not robotic.....size is perfect for me.....when closed fits perfectly in the palm of my hand; when open, is perfect for my larger hands--easy to manipulate the keypad.....synchs perfectly with Mac osX and isync through bluetooth.....especially like the smoke color cover....right now i have one smoke on back, and silver on front; camera is equal to the 3650 but screen is much brighter....was at a mall and is easily visible in the sunshine....The phone does remind me of Apple Macintosh...everything is where one would expect it to be (buttons, etc) and is intuitive. Sound from earpiece is ok...not bad but nothing special, equal to my 3650; presume sound from microphone is ok since no one I've spoken with has complained.....:D

Very interesting....I wish I knew someone who had it, so that I can do a basic comparison. From what you wrote and what Michael has written, it sounds like a keeper. The sound quality thing kinda bothers me though. My E715 incoming audio is really good. Probably the best I've heard to date. That's important to me cuz I'm always walking around the city.
One more question. What's the RF like? Is it like some of the older SE models? Is the internal antenna as good a Nokia antenna? Ok so more than one more question.... Who is your service provider?
never had an se phone before only nokias....but it's at least as good .......i'm a new t-mobile user in Wash DC
