I was thinking about buying a T616 from AT&T or wait for a T630 and was wondering how many pictures I could store on the phone for picture caller ID. I don't really care much for ringtones or games so I would free up space for the pictures. I think it has about @MB of memory so how many pictures does that translate to? Thanks.

@ highest quality and highest resolution with NOTHING else stored (using full 2MB) = approx 80 pics (assuming 25KB per pic)
So, with 1MB free= 40 pics... etc etc...
these are just my rought calculations...
it depends on pic size...
eg: @ 15KB per pic = 130+ pics

i think he meant the size of the pics when sent to the phone from a computer and the pics are resized to be exactly the same size as caller pictures are, whatever that size might be ..

Honestly, the only thing I meant by using 25kb was just a standard.
I could have chosen 50, 100 or a million.
I was just trying to illustrate how to calculate how many he could store after factoring in how much memory would be initially lost to Java, Tones...etc
