If all your after is a small phone with with cool looks and a built-in camera go for the 7250

If you do end up choosing the 7250 just make sure you get the 7250i as it has more features like picture phone book, a camera with "night mode" for poor lighting conditions, more internal memory and picture editing features

Also note that the 7250 can not be upgraded to "i" specs

An other phone you can get if you don't care about the fact that it's not a nokia is the sony ericsson t610. It is around the same size as the 7250i but it has a larger screen with 65,000 colours (The 7250i only has 4,096) and the t610 also has bluetooth

Where's the option:
"Pfft - don't get a Nokia, get a T610"? :D

I too would prolly recommend the 7250 - definitely the most popular here atm. Tho you could go the 3650, if ur keen on BT.

Things to watch out for with the 7250 is keypad/case wear. A couple of people have been saying that after a month, it looks like it's 6 months old :(

Just bear that in mind. And seriously, does it have to be a Nokia? If so - why?! They're are better phones out there, these days.

see ive been looking into getting a new phone so far...i currently have a 3650 and its great. i love this phone but i want something smaller. but so far i feel that this is the greatest phone ive owned. the 7250 is nice. but no bluetooth and yes the case does make it a bit cheezy. the t610 metioned is a nice phone if you can get by the screen. i like this t610 and it is on top of my buy list...but so far ive planned to wait...i really like the z600 gee...cant wait for the next wave...

Only the Nokia 3650 and 7650 have Bluetooth.
The 7250/7250i have no Bluetooth.

I am adding a "T610" option to the poll for you. :)

7250 has about 5mb of memory

I too had this dilemma when i was buying a phone recently... coz i only change my set after a couple of years.. so wanted the best.

*Nokia 3650: I rejected this one coz i did not like the keypad design

*Nokia 7650: I very seriously considered this phone, but then i thought that the weight and size wud be too much for me and i wanted a small and light phone.

*SE T610: I almost bought this one, but i read in its reviews in the net that the colour screen is almost non-usable out in the sun, so didn't get it.

*Nokia 6100/6610/7210: These phones r almost similar, but thay don't have a camera.

So finally i opted for Nokia 7250 . I am not saying that this is the BEST phone, but that this is the one that suited me the most.

Hope this makes ur decision a little easier. Do tell which one u got.

The question you need to ask yourselves is how often you'll use the T610 in the bright sun. Personally, I hardly ever need to use it in the Sun, thus the screen issue wasn't a problem for me.

see..the sun issue is whats keeping me from the t610 as well. but asking myself how often do i need it in the sun? well...not much. most of the day im in class (MSU). then work..then BAM its nite time...gee..the t610 is soundin better already

Before you decide on anything, please take a look at the Nokia 6600.
It seems to have all the features mentioned including bluetooth, 65K color screen and its due out in the 4th qtr, if you can wait till then...

4 years? No, I don't think so - most new mobiles aren't likely to last that long. If you noticed above, I commented regarding the 7250's rumoured durability issues, so perhaps you should consider another!

Yea, the Nokias look dreadfully 2nd hand after 1 month even.
Go the T610... the housing is aluminium & at least it should last you longer.

Thats a shame because there a lot good phones out there made by other manufactures like the SE T610

Sounds like you have pretty much made up your mind about the phone you wan't ;) so the best thing to do is to go to your nearest phone shop and ask them to have a play around with it and see if you like the look and feel of the phone and how it operates

7250i

The Nokia 7250i phone is an upgraded version of the Nokia 7250 phone. It offers XHTML support for a better mobile browsing experience, plus improved camera functions, enhanced MMS, and inbox covers in exciting new colors.

Although, T610 has 65K STN and 32 polyphonic ringtone, compared to 7250i's 4096 STN and 4 polyphonic.

However, Nokia's colour screen is the second best I've ever seen (Samsung wins the first).

Check out some review about 3650/7650 vs P800... then you'll see the BIG difference...

Personally, I think SE's colour screen works very bad when under sunshine.....

Plus I'm not sure if 7250i has Video Cam feature, same as 3650's..
correct me if I'm wrong....

When I reviewed the 7250 it had over 5mb of reported free space, which was quite contrary to what the Nokia website claimed at the time (I don't know what it claims at the moment).

So there was a lot of confusion for a while.

Yes it does.

Polyphonics on the 7250 sound pathetic compared to almost everything else on the market.

whats the weight of the T610 ?? and how much space does it hav??

Aristo

3650 is one of my phones, it also supports 4 poly., sounds ok when compared to my SL55 or P408...

I have tried many phones that support polyphonic ringtones, but the most important things I have to consider is the ring volume has to be LOUD!! (This is the disadvantage of all polyphonic phones)

if you want a phone with nice ringtones, go get a Samsung phone...T610 and 7250 sound not much difference for me....

and I still think SE phone's screen is horrible!! (personally opinion)

According to the sony ericsson website the T610's weight is 95 grams and it has 2MB of storage space for your images, screen savers and sounds

kay999

Is the 2mb only 4 the images n ringtones or thats the storage in the complete fone? If thats the case then 7250i has more space??

The 3650 is 24 poly.

As I said, the 7250/7250i both have bad polyphonics.

The 2MB quoted on the SE website if for the free space available for you on the T610 for images, screensavers and ringtones.

So after SE have loaded everything on the phone there is still 2MB free space left for you to use

I love mobile phones. I recently bought the Nokia 6800. It's a good phone but if your plannin' to keep the phone for sometime it would have to be the Sony Ericsson T610. I'm probably gonna sell the Nokia 6800 soon and either get the Samsung P400 or the Seimens SX1 or the Nokia 6600 or Nokia 6220. But if the rumours about the Nokia 6850 are true i will wait for that phone. It's an absolute stunnin' piece.:). The motorola V600 & E390 are also due to be released soon. They are good phones too.

hey man,if you want to use a mobile phone 4 the purpose that it is meant 2 be used then just go and buy the nokia 8250.... ok ok I know that it is a 4 yr old medal and does not even have wap but man does it look sexy!!!! the phone is just 2 attractive....however if u r hell bent on buying a camera phone go 4 nokia 7650....believe me I hav used 7650,7250,3650...while 7250 looks awful and 3650 has unusable keypad the 7650 will fit ur bill perfectly.....
ADVANTAGES

1. bluetooth
2. wonderful hi res screen and camera
3. pic phonebook and night shot

ok it is a bit bulky but it is well worth it man..7250 is useless...better get an 8250..,

I own a 3650 and i love it, you'll get use to its keypad. It's quite a wonderful phone, i have a 128mb MMC and it is full of mp3 as well as a full lenght movie. 7250 is quite a dull phone its specs are not that amusing.

I say you get a 3650 its worth your money.:p
