INDIAN ENGLISH
An Italian, French and Indian went for a job interview in England.
Before the interview, they were told that they must compose a sentence in English with three main words: green, pink and yellow.
The Italian was first: "I wake up in the morning. I see the yellow sun. see the green grass and I think to myself, I hope it will be a pink day."
The French was next: " I wake up in the morning, I eat a yellow banana, a green pepper and in the evening I watch the pink panther on TV.
Last was the Indian: "I wake up in the morning, I hear the phone "green green", I "pink" up the phone and I say "Yellow" :D

Yeah jokes like these are funny. There's another one, except chinese, I got told it by mouth.......won't look quite right but I'll see if you get it!
At a bulding site they hire three foreign workers, one Scottish, one Irish and one Chinese.
The site manager has them all in the room at tells them their duties. The Scottish was told "Help lay the bricks." the Irish man was told "Mix the mortar for the bricks" and the Chinese man was told "Your the supplies man!".
A couple days later, work is slow on their section, the site manager is angry and asks the Scottish man and Irish man "Why are you working so slow?" they reply "The supplies man hasn't brought us any extra supplies, we can't do anymore!" the manager replies "Where is he?" and they just shrug.
The manager turns to walk to his office in a fit of anger. The chinese mans leaps out of a bush and shouts "SUPWISE!!!!".
(That joke works better when it's said, the suprise needs emphasis lol!).

that is being biased .. they can speak english fine .. but with hindi being the dominating language a major part of the population lags behind

In the philippines, when someone learns english(properly) as a second language, they sound american.
What about in India? What is the accent adopted (not including baroke - the obvious foreign accent)

difficult to characterize depends on region to region.. with a pop of 1 billion + and 15+ recognized languages apart from english and hindi its impossible to say

The english we speak is supposed to be British. But every culture adds its own zing to it.

In the philippines, when someone learns english(properly) as a second language, they sound american. It depends...my family were fortunate that we had exposure to Americans, as my dad worked for Dole back home, and their English rubbed off on us. But others, they'll still have the accent. It may not be strong, but it certainly doesn't sound American...
But yeah in general, they tend to sound American, cause obviously they're who we look up to, for better or worse...
