Hi, if you were opening a new phone store - which brand do you think is the most sellable?

(I mean, aside from nokia, which brand would sell more. )
*sorry, I cant edit the poll.

Maybe Samsung with their barrage of flip-phones? Although Motos have been gaining popularity lately...

It all depends on location and demographics:cool:

After having to vote again (since I had voted Nokia), I changed my mind from Samsung to Motorola...I forgot Motorola has the #2 spot.:o

Really does depend on where you are - Motorola wouldn;t shift as well as SE in the UK....Details on store ? offline phones, dealer, 3rd party distance dealer etc etc...

Thanks to brad, for the edit.

My uncle's in Norfolk, Virginia. But he plans to open a store in the philippines, hongkong, singapore and australia... small shops only, selling unbranded phones. (with partners in each country.) They plan to make a website too - but they're planning the stores first.

I think that SE is strong in the philippines, but is weak in singapore and australia? And motorola is strong in australia, but weak in hongkong, phil and singapore?

Nokia sells well in all this countrys - that's why it's not included in the poll.

I think motorola and nokia are must haves especially with 3G coming out and getting larger

its true. different brands have different resale rates in different countries. some places, SE have high resale rates. in others they are worth jack. same for all the others. the poll means nothing unless you state what country your referring to. it has to be country specific.

i wouldn't agree with that at all. moto sells many times more than SE in the UK.

I do think that yes, motorola is easier to sell in the UK.

The initial influx of the vx00 flips etc paved the way for attractive colour camera flip phones that would reach the masses. You would see them in as many places as you would see a nokia.

For the type of country that Britain is - moto is making the type of phone that would attract that market.

However, there is now a gradual move from aesthetics alone to phones that can perform (as shown by uk sales) as people are prepared to spend more to get more.
