hi there,
for the guys: um, do you let your gf/wifey read your text messages?
for the girls: do you let your bf/hubby read your text messages?
... are you the type of person who values privacy above anything else? Or do you believe that "being in a relationship" means that all matters of privacy are gone, your life is an "open book" - meaning it's okay to read each other's text?
cheers!

Erm in a nutshell not really private but wouldn't like the Mrs taking a nose around..same as I wouldn;t on her phone...
The amount of marriages and relationships that end due to snooping is amazing - almost as many as spurred by Friends Reunited !

..no
My other half is welcome to look through my phone if she wants, but I can't think of an occasion where she has. Its just a trust thing, we have no reason to look through each other's inbox.

My bf leaves his phone everywhere. One time, a girl texted him, so I asked him about it. Turned out that he was flirting with a new girl in his office - we broke up after that. I really dont make it a habit to read other people's texts - but if he really wasn't hiding something, he should be open to it. I let him read mine too anyway.

I agree to a point but sometimes innocent enough messages can be taken in the wrong way. My ex was receiving some dodgy looking text but turned out to be an old school chum...which was innocent...If in doubt stick a code on your keyguard !
