Those of you who have the new Nokia 6111:

I've heard that the incoming/inbound calling volume is very low, even when you have set the volume to maximum. Is this true?

I hope to receive my silver version next week but is this a big problem?

In The Netherlands it's still not released...

I don't understand what Nokia's problem is with low volume phones. I had one 6620 that the speaker actually got SO quiet, I had to start using the speaker phone to hear people. I eventually got it swapped out via warrenty, and the phone I have now does the same thing.

Nokia seriously needs to get a life with thier volume problems.

The message alert tone is quite quiet on the 6111 - gone are the days of the 3210 deafening one!

However, the incoming call ring is the loudest one ive heard on the recent Nokias!

Nothing wrong with the volume on the 6111 in my opinion.

Well that is the Ringing Tone Volume what you're talking about. I mean the Calling Volume. When you call or get called someone.

I heard that this is rather low.

If you hate Nokia's low volume problems, why do you insist on using one then?:rolleyes:I still love Nokia phones. It's just annoying because the phones I like always have these stupid volume problems. Both my 6620's have them. I actually was going to get rid of it for a while until the Nokia N80 comes out, so I was looking around for a cheapo nokia phone to use while I was waiting so I could acutally hear people. I decided I was going to get the 6102 as s temp phone. So I open up google, and search for NOKIA 6102 REVIEWS. Low and behold, what do I see?

"at times the phone is very hard to hear on."
"GREAT phone for the great of hearing"
"The ear piece volume doesn't get very loud. At its max you have to mash the phone against your ear so you can hear."
"earpiece volume not loud at all!!!!!"

I mean seriously, why does Nokia have to do thi sall the time? My N90 seemed to be loud enough, hopefully the N80 will be fine. Only time will tell...

Ah yes, this is rather quiet.

I often find myself pressing the +volume button when in busy places, only to discover its at the maximum.

Its not too bad if your in a quiet place though!

Well maybe with a Firmware update it may be solved...
