Nokia N70 batteries

hello again

bought 2 N70s, one for me, one for wifey. charged em both up same time (16 hrs). Mine was dead after 2 days, hers is still going strong on 3 bars when mine died. i remembered the bloke in shop had it on 3 bars when he was showing it me, so i reckon it was a used one came with phone.

so i went back and asked em for a new one, which they swapped for me. or at least he said so. (might have given me same one back and tricked me ;-)

what id like to know is, how long can i expect a battery to last me? obviously a lot shorter if im playing MP3s, but how long for general 'talking and texting' use?

and would i be charging it every day if i was playing MP3s every day?

also, would i be daft getting a second one from ebay? they seem to be around a fiver posted! that seems cheap, but am i getting a cr*p battery for the money?

ive been looking how much they are from reputable places, but cant see that many of them. are they the ngage battery?

and just as another question, the batteries when you buy the phone seem to have stuff on them already, music player etc. do the batteries you buy later have anything on them or totally clean?

switch batteries with her and see how long it lasts. Maybe you use the phone more than she does(??)

with any kind of active use especially mp3 2 days is the normal de rigeur behaviour of the phone.

My friend was told by local Nokia stuff that their experiences with N70 battery life is only 1 day to 1.5 days with 3G SIM card, without using other 3G services except phone calls... he is now hesitating to make the purchase although he can get it at quite a good price...

Are you guys using a normal SIM card or 3G SIM card?

btw ur battery is just that.. a battery.. all ur stuff like ur music player et all's on the phone...

i have a normal sim card but my dad used my fone in europe for a week with a company given sim on o2 in uk and it was avg around 2 days.

He is worry after seeing how a friend switch between 6630 and 6180 due to short battery life of 6630 (charge everyday) on 3G SIM card, even though the N70 will comes with a spare battery.

He will be happy to hear that since he really like the N70, at least he only have to give up 3G in the worst case, :)

ive been using normal sim too. 3 days or so with minimal photos/phone calls etc

not really what id expected. thats why i ask about buying second battery. will cheaper ebay batteries have shorter life? im guessing you get what you pay for and i really should buy nokia, but if anyones got good experiences of ebay batteries id like to hear please.
