I have encoded some cd's in Apple iTunes using aac encoding but when I go to transfer the files to the phone using Nokia Audio Manager version 4.1 when I browse the relevant directory nothing is visible.
When using Windows explorer the file is visible as an mpeg4 file. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks

I tried the same thing with my Nokia 6230. I don't know why but when you convert songs to acc in iTunes they are mpeg4 and are not compatable with my phone even though it says it can play acc.

Try using Winamp to encode the AAC file to an mp3. i have had quite a bit of luck using winamp to convert from various files types including the unreal format ogg?. all you do is change the output plugin to the filewriter. then change a few settings and then open the file you want to convert. depending on your computer and the length of the music it will take between 5-120 seconds. i have never had it take any longer than 30 seconds from a standard cd track. and the mp3 you get is compatible with the nokia 6230. i have one but mine is type rh-28 (you find your type under the mmc next to your model number
