the 6270 is slow?

hi there,

just came from the nokia shop - checked out a 6270 for a coupla minutes. Took 5 to 7 pics, listened to mp3's, browsed a half-full 64K simcard, checked out the calendar, browsed the menus, checked out the slider, verified that it had a 512mb card, inserted 3 other sims, etc.......

and I dunno... I find it slow. I mean, the phonebook for example, it lagged a little behind my keypresses - and I've never known a series 40 to lag. Same thing happens when browsing photos.

the screen is nice though, bright and crisp... the photos are very nice too, even when zoomed.



.... but why the heck is it slow? mmm, I have a feeling Im not going to like this "3rd edition".

i can confirm that difen. it is slow... it lagged a bit ... i too have a 64 k sim and when i moved mine to it... the menu took a couple of seconds to bring it up... there was definitely a sense of slowness overall

i hope it gets fixed in the firmware

slower than symbian and SE phones? i tried a new 6270 and it was very fast. but then again it was completely empty.

You obviously haven't tried a 3300:p Mine is unbearably slow!!

Damn, now the series 40 re getting slow. I guess soon we wont know when to tell a series 40 from series 60 in terms of speed.

LOL I should think you're over-exaggerating S60's slowness...although admittedly I'm kind of jaded to it now. Still, to be honest, my friend's 6260 is bordering unbearably slow even compared to my 3650, which I thought quite odd...
