N6270 HELP, memory card and USB

well just bought N6270. overall a very good phone at least for my requirements but cause it is the first time i use a phone with a USB cable i am having a problem with transfering songs to the phone. although the internal memory (12MB) is almost full the memory card has some 120MB space. still though when i try to transfer a song from the pc to the phone it tells me: 'not enough space left. only 518kb free' -which is how much is left in the internal memory,

P.S i dont know whether it matters but i am doing this transfer though the Nokia PC Suite programm that i uploaded from the Nokia cd in the box of my phone.

umm... try this rule-of-thumb, and see if it works.

take a look at the file size of the song or photo or file that you're transferring. Say for example, it's a 5MB file, then you should have at least 5MB free on your phone's internal memory (NOT the phone's memory card).

... sometimes I think, the phone works like a PC... it needs a little buffer space or cache in order for it to transfer or execute files.

When you plug the cable in tell it to act as data storage NOT pc suite.

This will put the phone into USB mass storage mode, the memory card will appear as a drive in "My Computer", and you can copy the data directly to the memory card without having to use pc suite.
