I got my 6111 yesterday and I discovered a huge problem.
When i press a digit the phone "holds down" the digit for a second or two, causing it to try to call my voicemail (if I press digit "1") or connect to the Internet (if I press digit "0").
Therefore, I cannot dial for example 08123456, because when I press "0" it immediately tries to connect to Internet.
What to do?

thats not a problem, those are just shortcut keys. i dont think there is a way to disable them.
why are you holding them down? what are you trying to do? you dont need to hold the button down to dial, just press once.
... When i press a digit the phone "holds down" the digit for a second or two ...Is it you that holds down the number, or is the keypad sticking. As was said above, the normal usage is that 0 and 1 are internet and voicemail (they have little icons on the keys to explain this). If its the phone that is sticking then its probably a faulty keymat, get it replaced/repaired/exchanged, (faults like this are usually because of water damage, more specifically sticky liquid damage ... coke/orange juice etc. I'm not saying that yours has been water damaged but whenever I see a sticky keypad its because its has been covered in liquid).

Ok this is the deal:
I don´t hold down the buttons, I press them once quickly. And the buttons work for example when I´m writing an sms, so that means that this is not a hardware issue. I know that digit "1" and "0" are shortcut keys - if you press them for, say, one or two seconds. BUT - when you press them quickly they should function as normal digits.
My guess is that, the phone being new and all, the problem is software related. I have talked to the dealer and I´m going to send the phone back and they will replace it for me.

Hi there,
I had a similar prob - its VERY frustrating aint it.
I discovered the reason for this was the file size of the wallpaper I had on the screen - dunno if this is same for you.
If you have a large file size for the wallpaper, the phone delays while refreshing after you press a keypad button. Therefore it thinks you have held the number down and tries to connect to internet or voicemail or one of your speed dials if you have them set up.
What you need to do is turn the wallpaper off or use a smaller file size by turning the file size in the camera settings down, and then retake the photo,.
Then the buttons will work properly.
Hope this helps - its definitely a software prob.
Come across one or two niggles on this phone, but apart from that its really good!

Hello!
Yeah, I discovered that too! If the image used as background is larger than aprox. 100 kb then it will f--k upp the buttons. Very interesting problem this is.
So, I will keep my phone, use a small size image for background and just wait for a new software version to come.
