um, if the phone is still ON... you could try to do a soft reset?

*#7780# then 12345 then yes.

cheers!

after u enter *#7780# then u enter the """12345""" as the standard lock code but i changed the """12345""" into something else and i cant remember wat it is, so that soft reset that u r suggesting wont work cuz i dont know the lock code for the phone

You'll have to bring it to an unlocking store for reset. What part of the states are you in ?

I'm from Dublin (Ireland) same as Patrick. You'd have to send him the phone.

@dodgedriver - Why so worried about sending the phone anywhere? if Jacob is recommending someone, then they are going to be trust worthy, and I ship phones around all the time and I haven't lost one yet. If you are that worried about the actual shipping part, there is always insurance.

mmm... the last thing you can do before you have it reset by a shop, is to do a full format. The 3-fingered salute might just do the trick.

If that doesn't work... I guess it's time to go to the nearest phone shop, to either have it reset or to have it flashed. (yup, a newer firmware will also take away that lock).

good luck m8.

im worried about sending it cuz this phone came from the middle east, my brother traded with me when he was here in the summer, and this phone has arabic in it as a typing and dictionary language, so if its lost i have to go through the hassle of getting another one and shipping internationally is outragous,

as for the hard reset i might do that and see if it works, as for nokia i dont think they got a firmware for it since the 6630 is not in the USA yet but ill check with them

thanks alot for the help guys i really appreciate it

@dodgedriver - Keep in mind as well that most mobile phone warrantys are country specific, so if you need to send it to a service center it will have to go overseas. I have hit this problem on several occasions, as I buy phones from Hong Kong most of the time.

Yeah brad is right. Nokia Europe will only support Nokia phones sold from the EU, the same goes for the US etc...
