yeah i think it is more or less 10 metres. i also think that all bluetooth range in every phone is the same. but if you but a usb bluetooth the range differs in 10 m or 20 m.

hahaha, i think it is just a way to introduce yourself to someone that you didn't know and wish to know. a cute girl or a handsome guy maybe. or maybe you just want to play a little game to another people within the radius with a bluetooth. it may sounds silly but lot of people doing this.:D

no it doesn't mean that you stalk her. no i'm not a psycho. it just what do you say, another option to communicate. use the technology. not like irda, bluetooth can range up to 10m. which if we are both in a conference room. full of people. and i can't get the seat next to you. so how do we communicate. use bluetooth. it is just one example. :p

yeah just wait till a manufacterer are kind enough to put one on a cellphone. but it is very cool, i imagine that all the people (maybe not all but most of them) activated their bluetooth all the time. fun :D

That would certainly be handy for boring lectures at uni!!!! Then we wouldn't need to rely on the uncertainty of "free SMS"!!

Even then, not like they'd know who sent it! One time a lecturer's mobile went off during the lecture, and the funniest thing is that this lecturer said he hates hearing mobiles while he's teaching and they really annoy him, so it was very amusing when he was the one who didn't silence his mobile!
