hi,

Im planning on replacing my 6630 dv-rs-mmc with a new 256 dv-rs-mmc, but when I saw the card, it had around 12 to 13 pins on it. The one Im replacing only had 6 pins. I want to ask - what does those extra pins do? Does it mean that I wont get the 150x speed that was advertised in the box?

He's joking but they're not important for this phone. Basically they constitute the faster MMCMobile standard which details a minimum transfer rate of (I think 6Mbyte/s write and 7Mbyte/s read), but if you plug it into a normal MMC slot (i.e. 6630's DV-RS-MMC one) it will work fine (as it's backward compatible) but just at normal speeds (i.e. around 1Mbyte/s). I wouldn't worry about the faster speeds, no Symbian phone writes much faster than about 500-700Kbyte/s.

Does anyone know if you can use one of the above in a phone using mini-sd? Like if you buy the above can you use it in an N80?

Thanks in advance...
