On FCC, apparently a talor made phone for Verizon. Looks like a slider phone, right?

Extremely random design for a Nokia. Looks like a slider, but I cannot believe that is a Nokia!

Yeah, I was a little puzzled myself. The article does not provide a link nor does it directly say the pic is of the phone. So not the most reliable source..

that is one ugly phone with one long antenna!!
i feel sorry for you americans..
It looks un-nokia like because it wasn't designed by them, it is an Asian handset originally released for SK Telecom.

Yes, I'm glad Brad told someone that...yeah I was ABSOLUTELY mortified when I first saw it. You have to remember, it's for Verizon;)
And yeah, it's stupid that Nokia actually agreed to putting the Verizon UI instead of the venerable S40...actually, it's stupid Nokia actually agreed to putting their name on this hideous monstrosity!!

Yeah, but at least that one looks nice...I hope Nokia doesn't disgust us by releasing a similar handset for the GSM market:eek:

Crazyze, what do you care what Nokia does in the US market? ;)
Anyway, Nokia is trying to get its foot in with Verizon plus adapting more to service provider demands. Having said that the phone does look shady, although specs are pretty good (except for the Verizon UI). The final phone might look better too of course.

Nasty.
It's Pantech/Curitel device isn't it? I can't find the original handset anywhere though.
What were Nokia thinking? I mean, I've seen some uggggggllllly Nokia handsets, but this is just taking it too far. Couldn't they have found a *nice* EVDO phone to rebrand?

I know it won't be released in the UK ever, but I still am interested in the direction Nokia takes its brand and this is just shocking!
