New nokia 6280 HELP RE SYMBIAN 40 !!!

hI, Does anybody no if the new NOKIA 6280 Coming out this week will take tomtom mobile? as have read the reviews on it and apparantly its SYMBIAN SERIES 40, And has TFT Screen 240/320 res, so was jus wondering if tomtom will work on it? I no the imate sp5, spv c550 has same res 240/320 and qvga sreen and tomtom have brought out the patch now for this, so hopefully that patch will work for the nokia 6280...So please if anybody can help me with the series 40 stuff i would be greatfully appreciated...May be it might not even need the patch..

6280 is not Symbian.

Simply series 40, thus will not beable to accomodate for applications like tomtom mobile.

You will need a phone that is S60. E.g. 6600, 7610, 6630 etc.

The 6270 is S60 and is somewhat identical to the 6280

mmm... think the only difference (aside from the added features) between this 2 series 40's and the previous multitude of series 40's is that.... this 2 uses the series 40 3rd edition.

the 3rd ed has a new menu system, sporting a larger screen, TFT... and hopefully would be as fast or faster than the previous series 40's.

SHAME SHAME!!! Remember, the 6270 is just like the 6280 except w/o the UMTS but adds stereo speakers and quadband??
