I noticed that when looking at my k750 in NORMAL ANGLE (flat, parallel to my head), the colors seem pale.. if i slant the phone/screen a little bit backward in a slightly leaning position (bottom in, top out), the color get's more vivid, and better..
why is this? is this normal and the same with your k750's? or is it just my unit?
though it's not really that bad, nor tilting required is very minimal, im just not used to looking at the screen slightly tilted..
can you guys confirm if you have a similar situation with i?
thanks bunch

I think it's just a 'thing' with anything that has a TFT. My Samsung D500, HP iPaq, Dell laptop and even my TFT TV all do it. The TV is made even worse buy the fact that I just mounted it on the wall and now I have quite a washed out screen. Hope that helps.
with my k750 the hole screen gets darker when its tilted,
what background do you have. is it one that comes with the phone?
i ask as this may help me give you a better answer?

well, i've used many different themes, originals and downloaded..they have same effect...colors are a bit pale.. and more vivid when tilted
yes the whole screen DOES get darker.. maybe this is the reason for the colors getting more vivid? tilt it too much and it's not pretty anymore, but just right, as explained earlier, just a little tilt, and it looks perfectly vivid..
i was thinking maybe it's an SE design... maybe it's just me and most people use their phones "slightly" tilted backward..

its the same for all screens
light enters the plastic casing cover , it refracts and bounces off. so when u view the phone at an acute angle , it is likely to depict something fuzzy and not clear due to the refraction.

as Stars rightly mentioned, its the same case with all screens...my Nokia 6630 to has a similar issue.

hmm... thanks for the enlightment guys..
additional question though....
how do you guys look at your LCD.. straight/flat paralled to your face's angle? or slightly tilted? i mean your NATURAL / HABITUAL way of using it?
coz if we are all a like who looks at screens parallel to your head's angle, then i would think mobile phone companies should tilt the LCD a LITTLE BIT by default.. as it is so much more vivid that way..
right now im trying to get into the habit of tilting it when using my phone

Whatever feels best for you - Seen some of the advanced OLED screens which don;t bleach at awkward angles...
Even my PSP is iffy when viewed at the wrong angle
