I'm not one to blow silly money on a phone, i'd rather get one free, or for less than £40 ($70~) and i need to start a new contract within the next few days. The phones i've been looking at are...
Samsung D600.. fair bit of negative press from people saying its not as good as the 500
Nokia N70.. not a massive improvement over the 6680 but nice enough
S/E w800.. same phone as the 750 which i kinda like, few negi comments but nothing bad
S/E p910i.. smartphone and classy, but is it too old?
I'm upgrading from a Moto A1000 so i'm used to the interface pretty much, i like the stylus (as long as there's an on screen keyboard, the QWERTY looks crap, and i don't like handwriting software) but basically.. its an old phone, but it was in a different class to standard mobiles then. Is it still worth getting a new one now? When the P990 hits it'll be way way out of my price point so there's no point doing that... the N70 doesn't seem to be available on many good deals at the moment either, but the p910i i can get for free on a contract that costs around $60 or so for the month. I mainly text not talk, and I'd probably actually use some of the PDA functions, and use it as an MP3 player when walking to work.
Cheers!
