Hi guys

How long do you have to charge the phone using the usb cable? NOT THE CHARGER..

I like charged it for over 18 hours (basically left it plugged in the usb)... and the moment i removed the cable the status of the bat was like 86%.. this normal?

It does take a long time, but it probably shouldn't have taken THAT long. You have to remember that your USB port is only 5V.

brad it does not take that long.. i got a colleague at work who uses the usb to charge it... ( usb 2 cable ) and it charges within 3 hrs at best....

Thats what I ment by not taking THAT long - 3 hours is a long time compared to the 1.5hrs (max) it takes when plugged into a power point.

yea and that also because he is using it all the time when he is charging it .. if its left to itself 2 1/2 hrs is all it needs

hi guys

well i didnt really think it should take that long to charge..i just like to keep my phone plugged in the USB or charger when im in my room (which is were I spend most of my life). so that everytime i leave the house it's fully charged.. hence the 20 plus hours charging time.. it does seem odd though that the moment i removed the k750 from the usb cable, FMA reported 86% battery left.. weird..

yah, actually bluetooth is almost always on as i do most of my txt msging stuff off my computer.. yes i was charging (via usb) while connected to my PC via BlueTooth..

hmm..

i tried charging it overnight using the real charger (which should only take 4 hours right?)

anyway i removed it around 9am when i woke up.. it's now 1pm and my battery status is like 57% left..

as usual bluetooth is always on and connected to my PC.. but i have turned on the POWERSAVE feature to conserve battery..

is this normal then? or is my battery shady?

The charging connection depends on the pins alignment. It you have moved the connections the charging is disrupted.

i think u missed the entire point... bluetooth is a very heavy drain on the battery try switching it off. set the screen to be off when its charging and then it will charge quickly. using the normal charger it should not take more than a couple of hours.

i think you missed my question entirely sir.. lol

my question is not about how FAST i can fully charge my battery, but how LONG it will normally last under the conditions i have put it in.

though my phone is in FULL working mode during charging, with BT on, using the charger (not the usb cable) to charge it for over 12 hours is i think sufficient to fully charge it..

when i removed the phone this morning it was FULL. but by noon time it was 50%.

ah oops :) sorry for that...

with bt and connected to a pc my guess is 18-20 hours is all u will get..

well weird thing is.. it lasted morethan 24 hours.. well, turning off bluetooth for a few hours in between.. but using radio for about an hour too..

9:30 am this morning it was at 6%.. glad that it lasted longer than i thought it would given almost 50% gone in its first 5 hours..

thanks

Charging with USB has shown to only charge up to 86-91%, regardless how long you leave it plugged in.
