Can I update my 750i to an 800W with a software download?

Is it possible to run SE800w software/OS onto a 750i, considering they are essentially the same phone?

The only difference software wise, if I am correct, is the music player right?

Can I download firmware from a 800w and load onto my 750i to get the better music player/functionality?

Sorry if its been asked before, I've done a search but couldn't find anything.

It's possible using 3rd party flashing programs like SEtool, TMS or DaVinCi......but many people have ended up with dead phones, risky.

I have done it & no issues with the phone. The only thing is that i can't use the SEUS anymore to update the phones software. Besides that i couldn't be any happier

chadiwrx, why can't you use SEUS any more? I haven't heard of any problems with SEUS after flashing with W800 firmware. SEUS should just give you W800 upgrades from now on.

@brad I have flashed my K750 >> W800 & now i cant update the software. Everytime i check with SEUS it says that there is no software belonging to my network or something like that. Cos ive been told that it cross checks the cda & imei & it can tell it's not a W800.
