Hi guys..

i have had various BT issues with the k700i... (Some explained here - http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?t=415899) with my various SE Headsets unpairing themselves from the phone, and not being able to re-pair unless the phone is rebooted... or the phone crashing intermittently when pairing with the headset... numerous (6) software upgrades, and 1 replacement phone has failed to fix the problem...

My question is has anyone suffered from similar experiences with either the k750i or the w800i and BT headsets? As if i go thru this when i upgrade then i will rip the last of my hair out....

What i need from the phone is ultra reliable BT headset/phone performance. If i need to make a call then when i press the talk button on the headset it must interact appropriately with the phone EVERY time. BT must never crash the phone. The phone must never become unresponsive to the headset, thus necessitating the phone +/- the headset to be rebooted. Is it too much to ask? (I guess 1 time in 100 may be JUST acceptable! - not 2 or 3 in 10). I guess i am asking alot from a BT headset and phone, but given my job i just need reliability... Hence i ask about current reliability of BT with the new SE phones... (havent decided between the k750 or w800 yet, altho both will run the w800 firmware when (if) i get one...

The headset i will mainly use is the SE HBH-662, altho it may be used with a SE HBH-602 infrequently...

Cheers
Mutts

Any bad experiences guys?

I just got a k750i, and so far bluetooth's been working great.. my phone has been connected to my PC via bluetooth for about 53hours now here in my room..been doign most via my PC to phone.. been sending files to and from it, sending sms etc.. not a problem..

With that said I did experience one problem a few days ago.. I was charging my phone.. then after a while my software (FMA) lost its connection to the phone. i dont know if it's because of me charging my phone at the same time using bluetooth (which i dont think is a problem).. or it could be cause i was low in battery (hence why i charged my phone).. anyway went to the phone and tried to see which devices are connected, gather some clues why i lost connection to my pc.. refreshed the list and.... it was stuck there for 5 minutes ("refreshing list")...... but it didnt lockup.. i couldnt cancel though. but i just turned off the phone.. then on again.. after that i've never had a problem...

i dont know if it's a phone flaw, or my bluetooth dongle, or my software acting up that's why i somehow couldnt get the FMA software to reconnect..

either way i think k750i's bluetooth is ROCK SOLID.. plus im sure the latest firmware will fix whatever problem that is present in its BT implemetation.

hope this helps.

I have just bought a k750i after 12 months of using a Microsoft smartphone.

Many many things about the K750 are better but one thing is pretty much stopping me from using it.

If I dial a number when I am wearing my Bluetooth headset (HS850) I have to wait for the call to connect, then press the headset button to transfer the call.

If I am receiving the call it is even worse. I press the headset to button to answer the call - there is a 2 second wait then I hear a beep, then I have to press the button again to get the audio in the headset.

Has anyone found a way around these problems? I cannot believe that a Sony Ericsson phone has a worse Bluetooth implementation than one from Microsoft/HTC.
