Hi,
I want to know the connectivity of Airtel Network in Mumbai. I dont want to know about GPRS and other facilities. I want to know whether there is good area coverage , basically good range, in and around Bandup. It will be of great help to me.
Thanks in advance.

Yep connectivity is very good. Coverage is second only to orange ... and its gprs plans are second to none
the advanced connection ( mobile office ) that allows u to connect it to a pc or surf using a smartphone is just rs 199 for unlimited edge speeds that often top 13-14 Kbps while surfing ...
bandup ? u mean bhandup... coverage is well relative only way to know is to try it in the area.... basically with the three top operators airtel/orange/bpl coverage has not been a prob for a long time ... its the call connectivity which matters where airtel is tops right now
also being the only operator on 1800 its sort of semi exempt from the leakage that occurs at times from cdma operators causing ruckus .

Hi
as far as connectivity in mumbai its awesome...infact to give lite of few technical details...they have the largest number of cell sites about a 1000 which is greater than orange 900....
they have recntly installed a third switch at lower parel with previous being at malad and ghatkopar....
they have started eating into orange share heavily....and carved out a image for itself which was earlier primarily concentrated in north india...

Dont quite go by those figures rajat. Those are outdated ones which were released here and there.
Orange very much holds the lead on no of tos.... not that it matters. I hold both airtel and orange postpaid lines and consistently orange has better coverage in most area not by much though .
Besides ive seen the latest figures its a 19-20 difference. Airtel current lead ins are due to their expansive ad campaign and the downfall of BPL which has been absorbed by hutch
