Anybody has any idea at what resolution the P990 records? CIF or QCIF? Cuz if its gonna be CIF that would make this phone "the phone." make it like the k750i's and this would be some sort of big disadvantage for me..

Thank god you started this thread. I was gonna do it but thought nah..must be somewhere on the net.

Oh well, i'll wait for someone to tell me.

Its probably the same as the k750, since MR said exactly the same camera (although not 100% correct since it does not have macro) THUS they werent gonna bother covering it. I hope theres an application that you can install to improve it, like you can with s60.

I too feel its a big disadvantage not to be at least on PAR with the N90'S video. but hey everyphone needs an achilles' heel. or several. lol. :D

W900 has QVGA recording at 30 fps (even better than N90 I think, which records at 15 fps). But then, W900 iss only a "dumbphone". http://forums.mobileburn.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

If your gonna mention a Nokia phone then at least talk about 6280 video capabilities.

True, although N90 records video with better resolution than W900. And aren't you guys always saying that you cannot compare smartphone to a non-smartphone... :D

Moby? the 6280's video recording is like what? Hmmm..id be satisified with CIF recording for a communicator like the P990i though. QVGA would also really make me buy this phone in a heartbeat! and wait, nokia n90 is CIF at 15fps right? and w900i is QVGA at 30fps?

oh,Jose RAM, it does HAVE macro..checked in in the SE website.. just please make it at least CIF.. then i think, this phone will last me at least a full year..please please...:D

n90's video is amazin id be happy with any handset with equal quality, any one seen the e720's video its the best ive seen along with the n90. its smooth and its as if ur lookin thru the cam amazing

uh huh..yea...CIF recording at 15(maybe even 30:D) would really make this a killer phone that's not only smart but also imaging powerful:D please...

gee moby, the 6280 records at 640x480??? Rock on! however id lyk to see the quality of the recording..could you provide some clips? and is the 6270 also capable of vga resolution?

I think originally the k750 had very good video recording... but recent firmware updates changed that, and made it not-so-good, quality-wise. Anyway, MR states that the camera is "the same as k750", I hope that he meant the version of the k750 camera before it took a hit.

watever dat is, since now we have removable storage, and that w900 had 470mb of internal ram. WHY MUST PHONES STILL RECORD IN 3GP FORMAT? THIS FORMAT SUCKS
