help updating my w800c

hi can anybody help me update my w800c.

i had a problem installing the update service driver. i downloaded it from se website but couldnt install it. it says turn of your phone and connect it to your pc while holding down "C" and it should say "found new drivers," but that never happens. so what i did was install it manually by just right clicking on 'EPIUSB.INF' and clicking install.

after all that i tried updating my fw wit the latest from the site. when i get to the point where it tries to initialise wit my device this error pops up: "There is currently no service for devices belonging to your operator." then it quickly goes to the page where it says:

Your device is not permitted to use this service

Your operator does not approve the usage of this service for this device.
We look forward to assist you again soon.

look up the k750i thread, i think i posted a link to another site with very explicit instructions how to do the SESUS update system

hmm , do note , if i m not mistaken the operator locked models , e.g UK vodafone K750i , cant accept updates from SESUS , ya have to go down to your nearest operator's service or support centre

stars ive looked through all your posts concerning k750 and w800 dating back since june and didnt find any link to what youve mentioned. it would be really helpful to find this site showing explicit instruction on how to update my software.

btw. my w800 was bought from ebay and is unlocked and ive recently just found out that its w800c, not w800i. i dont kno why its mentioning any operator problems since its unlocked :(

The branding on your mobile phone could be causing you problems with the update. W800c/W800i they're all the same with different software...

If your phone is branded, you can use Davinci Team's flasher to flash it to unbranded firmware then use SEUS. If you are getting to the point where it Your device is not permitted to use this service, you are doing everything fine for SEUS.

what do you mean by branded? i always thought when your phone is unlocked its not under any company.

Branding means network logos etc in the actual software of the phone. Does it have any network logos on the phone ?
