Discovered by a friend on a non-phone forum. Looks (and sounds) cool, although I've no doubt it will take 10 years before something like this is available and affordable in the U.S. market. :)

Not sure what happened to my pasted content! I was having trouble selecting from Lotus Notes this morning (my info source), so maybe it got lost in the trans-paste-tion. :)

(I won't even go into the problems I've run into with Mozilla -- I like it, but I've been thinking of moving to something else that's more solid when I'm editing text.)

sports a 2.1 mega pixel digital camera, a 64.4 million
color display, its own email address, multiple text
messaging options, 128 kbps quality MP3 ringtones, web
access, java script enabled, GPS locator, English to
Japanese/Japanese to English dictionary, built in
voice mail and external voice mail services, 100%
bi-lingual menu options, personal organizer/schedule
with alarms/calander...and the ability to easily type
in english, hiragana, katakana, and the 10,000
some-odd kanji I would ever need to use!

Those look like phones for KDDI's CDMA2000 network in Japan. They wouldn't work in the US, even on the US CDMA networks (at least that is what somebody in SE's competitive analysis department told me once).

Yeah, they are Japanese CDMA phones, and apparently will not work anywhere else.

We can keep dreaming though....

I don't know why Sony Ericsson are introducing the coolest phones for asian market :mad: It's the same as SO505i, Am I wrong ?

Because all the other companies have released phones with those capabilities. If SE wants to keep up, they must have megapixel cameras and other fancy features.

If the T610 is a huge seller for them, then why would they bother releasing a megapixel phone for us?

64.4 million colours? u sure? Seems like an odd number. is that a 25 and a half bit display? ;)
